White Chocolate Gingerbread Star Cookies



These delightful White Chocolate Gingerbread Star Cookies are a perfect blend of festive flavors. The soft and spiced gingerbread cookies are adorned with a creamy white chocolate coating, making them a holiday favorite for everyone to enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions:

Put the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl and mix them together until they are light and fluffy

Put the egg and molasses in the bowl and mix them together well

Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, ground ginger, cinnamon, and cloves in a different bowl using a whisk

Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until a dough forms

Split the dough in half, make two discs out of it, and wrap each one in plastic wrap

Put it in the fridge for at least an hour

Warm your oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet

Spread out one disc of dough on a lightly floured surface until it's about 1/4-inch thick

Cut cookies into star shapes with cookie cutters and place them on the baking sheet that has been prepared

Roll out and cut the second disc of dough the same way you did the first

After the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden

After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet

Then, move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down

Melt the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in 30 second increments, stirring in between, in a bowl that can go in the microwave

Let it melt completely

After the cookies have cooled, dip one half of each one into the melted white chocolate

Let any extra chocolate drip off, then put the cookies back on the wire rack to set

If you want to make the cookies look even better, you can drizzle any extra white chocolate over them

Before you serve the cookies or put them away in an airtight container, let the white chocolate set completely
