Vegan Everything Bagel Soft Pretzel Bites
These soft pretzel bites that taste like everything bagel are a great snack or starter. They're soft, tasty, and simple to make!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 packet 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 2 tablespoons vegan butter, melted
- 1/4 cup everything bagel seasoning
- Coarse salt, to taste
- 1 cup warm water, for dipping
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast
Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy
Add flour to the yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic
Divide the dough into small pieces and roll them into bite-sized balls
Preheat the oven to 450F 230C
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a shallow dish, mix warm water and baking soda
Dip each dough ball into the baking soda mixture and place them on the prepared baking sheet
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown
Brush the baked pretzel bites with melted vegan butter
Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning and coarse salt over the pretzel bites
Serve warm and enjoy!
