Keto Chinese Five Spice Beef Soup
A flavorful and comforting keto-friendly soup with tender beef slices infused with the aromatic essence of Chinese five spice powder and complemented by the freshness of bok choy.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 cups bok choy, chopped
- 2 tsp Chinese five spice powder
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions:
Put sesame oil in a pot and heat it over medium-low heat
Put in the minced garlic and ginger, and cook until the smell is nice
Add the beef slices and cook until they turn brown
Add salt, pepper, and Chinese five spice powder to taste
Add the soy sauce and coconut aminos to the beef broth
Let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes
After you add the chopped bok choy, cook for another 5 minutes or until the bok choy is soft but still crisp
Check the seasoning and make changes if needed
Serve hot with chopped green onions on top
