This recipe recreates the iconic In-N-Out Burger Double Double Animal Style, complete with two juicy beef patties, special sauce, pickles, and all the delicious fixings. It's the perfect homemade version of a fast-food classic.

Ingredients:

  • 2 beef patties 1/4 pound each
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Vegetable oil, for grilling

Instructions:

Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat to get it ready

To make the special sauce, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and yellow mustard in a small bowl

After mixing well, set it aside

To make the spread, put yellow onion, white vinegar, sugar, and sweet pickle relish in a different bowl and mix them together

Put away

On both sides, season the beef patties with salt and black pepper

Put the burger patties on a hot grill or griddle and cook for three to four minutes on each side until they are medium-rare

Each patty should have two slices of American cheese added to it in the last minute of cooking

Place a lid on top to melt the cheese

Separate the hamburger buns and toast them briefly on the grill until they turn golden brown while the patties are cooking

To put the burgers together, spread a lot of the special sauce on the bottom bun

Then, add tomato slices and shredded lettuce

After you put the cooked cheeseburger patty on top of the tomatoes, add some onion-pickle spread on top of it

Last, put the other half of the bun on top

Your In-N-Out Double Double Animal Style burger is now ready to be served

To make the second burger, do the same thing again

Enjoy making your own Double Double Animal Style In-N-Out burger!
